Over Breakfast

Cereal, frozen waffles, pop tarts or anything else that takes approximately thirty seconds to make will be what my family has for breakfast this week. Two breakfast themed parties in one weekend is too much. We had a breakfast brunch for Nana's birthday this weekend and our baby boy was baptized Sunday so we had a breakfast afterwards. This mama is over making all the yummy breakfast food for now! Well, until next weekend ;)

This weekend was a bit of a whirlwind, literally and figuratively. The days flew by and both days were super windy, we got our first few days of true fall weather. There is something great that happens when that first bit of chill comes in the air! It makes it feel more like the "holiday season", and yes I said holiday. Anyone who knows me knows that holidays come early here, especially Christmas! Which I'm not embarrassed to admit I start celebrating the day after Halloween, well playing Christmas CD's in my car at least. We were able to make it to the wine festival this year, even if we did haul two kids, we were able to have a quick trip! Probably Lauren and Tim will pass on asking the Griffin clan to head down next year. They didn't know they were in for quite the experience.

Crew was an angel during his baptism. He is as sweet as pie, and we are so blessed to have such wonderful family and friends celebrate his first step in his Christian life. We couldn't be more thankful for our precious boy and he is the perfect fit to our family. God continues to take us on an amazing journey and we are so grateful he gives us the opportunity to share it with our amazing babies. We had a great weekend, and are looking forward to our busy week!

Ps. Crew's baptism shoes were to die for! I found them here

Monday Madness

The weekend was a whirlwind as usual, and it's Monday...again. There is a running joke in our house that it seems to ALWAYS be Monday. We love the fall, who doesn't? But, we find that our weekends are extra packed with all kinds of fun things to do before the are all trapped inside again during those awfully long winter months. This year is proving to be no different, we have school events, parties, baptisms, work, weddings and other craziness taking up all our free time. On top of that I have taken it upon myself to make both kids a handmade costume, ah I think that maybe this year I will go as a crazy person because that's what I'm thinking of myself as I am trying to make these costumes along with everything else going on. Sa, Sa, as my mom would say it all has to get done anyway so I will rock these Halloween costumes out!

We are trying to make the best of what is left of our Halloween season, and we made a trip to the pumpkin patch, not without making a fiasco out of it first of course. We drove all the way to Fifers Orchard, which is approx. an hour away, with a very excited two year old and a 2 month old who hates riding in the car seat, only to find they are closed on Sundays. Rats! We drove all the way back to Seaford, then to Laurel to make it to Mr. Pepper's Pumpkin Patch. Shew..non the less Harps enjoyed herself and found "perfect pumpkins, just her size!" And yes my mother and I showed up to the pumpkin patch in the same sweatshirt which Russ finds sooo hilarious, knowing dag on well if his dad were coming their outfits would be verrry similar (if not matching) not on purpose obviously but we both are very much like our parents haha. We didn't miss the hayride even though we were scrounging for quarters to ride, because we never ever carry cash, and no debit cards are taken at the patch, obviously. Man, we were prepared for this trip folks, hahah not!

Hope you all enjoyed a great weekend, we certainly had an eventful one. We also got to watch our sweet Brecken get baptized on Sunday, he's such a sweet boy. Crew Crew is up next! Have a great week.
