Two by Two

It seems like everything we do these days, it's in twos, I'm assuming that's only appropriate since we have two little people in our lives. Crew or "chunk, chunk" as he is fondly referred to is now two months old and rocking and rolling. He loves to eat, clearly, hence his nickname. He is awake more and more now and it's a lot of fun to see his adorable personality coming out. He loves sleeping in his own room and crib, always maxin' and relaxin. That saying that boy clothes are not a cute as girl clothes, I find a bit cliche', harder to come by yes, but lacking in style, no. I am loving dressing him up and anything that makes him look like a little man, or a mini version of his father, I'm all for.

Another two in our lives, is two days a week of preschool, Harper goes Mondays and Wednesdays and the drop offs are becoming blissfully easier. She actually had her first day this week of no tears, which doesn't sound like a win for most but with our two year old shew, we are thrilled. Terrible twos are no joke and we are not a fan, but once again another "two" in our lives, and we will get through with lots of two minute time outs, and spelling out bad words to each other, haha we are in for it when she actually learns how to spell!  It's been getting a lot cooler, and especially at nights it has been perfect weather for walks, the kids and I have found either the stroller or Crew's new carrier which is our new obsession, to be a fun way to get some last minute energy out before bedtime. Our new Ergobaby carrier is the best thing, it is so comfortable and never hurts your back, we take walks, vacuum, basically everything in that bad boy and it holds up like a champ, I recommend it to everyone!

Two more months till some of our other favorite activities, Thanksgiving and black Friday! Eating and shopping two things that make anyone happy! So here is to watching Hocus Pocus as many more times as we can and soaking up fall!

Bibbidi Bobbidi Hocus Pocus

We are already feeling the fall spirit, and started our week off right doing all things Halloween. Sunday, we replanted our flower boxes with mums, cabbages, and mini pumpkins, hung our fall wreath and put some other fall decor out around the house. Besides finding an anaconda skin in our basement while pulling out the fall stuff it was the perfect ending to the weekend. Russ and I are currently rock, paper, scissoring to see who has to go down in the basement for anything we may need, since we would both piss our pants if that thing is down there! Harper's Disney movie club movies arrived yesterday, and she was super excited to watch her witch movie, Hocus Pocus, and the good news is I have another person obsessed with that movie in the house, so now I have an excuse to watch it all the time for the next several weeks!

After watching all the spells Harper wanted to do a little magic of her own. We whipped up a batch of magic wands from her princess cookbook, and after a couple bibbidi bobbidi boos we gobbled them all up! My little chef loves to "make" as she calls it, just like Giada.

My sweet babies enjoy the weekends, and are loving each other more and more everyday! Have a happy week, xoxo!

Fall Remix

Instead of spring cleaning, I did a little "almost" fall cleaning, and decided to do a little remix in our master bedroom. I added an orange herringbone coverlet, and new shams that I had monogrammed, and I'm obsessed with because anything personalized is honestly the best! Since most of the time our bedroom is a cross between a boys dorm room and the SPCA with all of my husband's mess and clothes, dog hair, and baby stuff thrown everywhere, we still have a long way to go before it's a grown up room but.. I thought that getting some new sheets on the bed would brighten up our room!

On a side note, our sweet, sweet boy is seven weeks old today! (I'm a little late posting his six week pic). And likewise Harpy is seven weeks a sissy! Happy almost fall!

Shew we made it

Labor day weekend was in full effect, we hung by the pool then we went to Vanderwende's Sunday night and the tourists were wrapped around the outside all trying to get a few dips on their way back home. Luckily for us "locals" we snuck around to the outside window and beat the line..score! Harper and Gianni then ran buck wild around the farm, they are literally obsessed with each other, they are to die for! Another score of labor day weekend is going to the outlets with no traffic, it makes the trip much more enjoyable, hello fall!

This week has been to say the least eye opening! We are busy people, I mean its been a little hectic with two, but this week we definitely got slapped hard in the face with reality. We officially have a preschooler, and a baby who slept through the night..note that is only one night and he often doesn't repeat his self so we will see what is to come in that department.

Harper started her preschool in true form..with a bang or scream basically. She was one of the only kids in her room in pure hysterics when I tried to "drop and run." She is certainly no dummy and realized about ten seconds in walking into the classroom that I was going to be leaving her by herself, and she was having no parts of that. She was literally leaping out of the teachers hands when I tried to leave, and was screaming as if I was leaving her with a murderer. I toughed it out and walked out that door, but you better believe Crew and I drove our weepy butts around town for the next hour as we waited patiently for our sissy to be done. Fortunately, when I got back she was 100% improved, so excited to see us, and best of all wanting to come back next week, success! Even though my little mama heart was breaking I know she is going to have the most fantastic year she is in an awesome place and her little stories about preschool days will be the peak of my day!
