Gallery Wall

Eeek! I'm shrieking with excitement! Not with summer being over, of that I'm quite sad! However, about 5 years ago I was flipping through a Pottery Barn magazine and came across a gallery wall that hasn't left my mind since then. I kept the magazine for a while hoping to do a similar wall myself but 3 kids and 3 houses later it can't be found. Luckily, I remembered the jist and was able to do a quick Google search and find the same picture! Many months and convincing of Russ that I needed his assistance on this project, it's done!! It turned out basically amazingg, besides finding the rope which proved to be a little harder than it should have been it was a fairly easy project and just takes a little time to make sure everything is measured and leveled correctly. Here are some pics of our process with all the info on our project! Enjoy!

House Progress

Since moving into the house this past January, I've been trying my best to get the decor just how I want aka pinteresting a ton of ideas. Wallpaper has been a style element I have been dying to use for a while and since we were unsure how long we would be in the last two houses I've strayed away. Wallpaper is pricey and I would hate to commit to something I would be parting with quickly. With that being said, we are staying put for a looong while, so wallpaper will hopefully be coming shortly so stay tuned for more fun house updates. I have been able to accomplish the kid's gallery walls, finally! This too has been a process because I have photos of each child at around age 4-5 months outside their room, combined with a shadow box of their hospital memorabilia. Waiting for each kido to reach this age, find the frames I loved and getting them actually hung on the wall was quite a task, but non the less finished now! Enjoy and stay tuned for more home decor goodness, my favorite hobby!

Seven Months & Not Slowing Down

Sweet, sweet, Tilghman is seven months old..whattt! I'm pretty sure the more babies you have the faster they grow up, why is that? Til is literally the best baby imaginable. He never cries, is always smiling and so go with the flow. I'm pretty sure he just looks and listens to the wild mayhem that's going on around him and figures he isn't going to get a word in edgewise. He is now so interactive and is rolling from his back to belly and vise versa. Sitting up and eating all big boy foods is his favorite thing. Tilghy gets rather animated and squealy when you do not get that spoon in his mouth quick enough! He kills you with cuteness with his huge blueberry eyeballs, tiny bald head and big gummy smile. He has zero teeth but that doesn't slow him down, he loves french fries and ice cream, you know all the parent of the year, healthy food! We may have a mini Crew on our hands, Tilghman loves to suck his thumb and is also obsessed with his blanket! This little angel is the best and we are totally head over heels for him.

Some of my favorite baby essentials for the summer,

1. Neutrogena Beach Defense sunscreen here, this smells so good and is easy to put on without leaving a bunch of white streaks, high SPF for sensitive baby skin, we have only gone through about 5 bottles already my peeps like to swim!

2. L.L. Bean boat and tote here, I have a small version of this as my diaper bag and I got each of the kids one with their names to use for the beach or pool. We are taking a couple trips this summer in the car and these are so durable and handy, you can fit a ton inside and they are sturdy and can easily be washed. I don't buy anything for these wilds that you can't wash and dry!

3. Rashguard bodysuit here, whoa, where were these bad boys when the other two kids were babies. This is a recent purchase and bonus its on sale, but this has quickly become a life saver! It is easy to put on and take off and it has built in SPF so I don't have to slather on so much sunscreen. Our pool is now grossly hot from the heat but prior to the "hot tub" the pool was a little cool for Tilghman and he didn't love the cold water against his bare skin, this little gem is perfect for covering his back and belly enough to keep him warm but cool. Genius!

Hope you are enjoying summer and keeping cool, I think the sunshine, heat and summer night storms are what is making our little Til grow like no tomorrow. We are going to soak up all of him and this summer that we can. xo

Movies, Friends & Food

We have had some fun filled weeks between father/daughter dance, my Mom's retirement party, snow, Tilghman turning 2 months old, Valentine's Day and hanging out with all our favorite peeps. We are officially coming into birthday month! Our sweet Harpy is getting ready to turn 4 years old, cue the tears! I can't believe it, but to keep my mind off of the fact my baby is turning into a little girl, I'm busy planning another fun birthday party. If anyone knows me, they know I love  a birthday celebration, especially for my babies. Here are some recent pictures of our life lately. xo
